Training walk January 2019

The realisation of the heights to climb are daunting yet I am keen to get fit, along the line of a healthy heart means a healthy head.

The beginning of a lot of walking!

On Saturday, Ollie, Emma and I went for a walk around our home town in Ilfracombe to climb a few of our great hills plus take some photos for a project (more to released later).

I have started to attempt the 1600 kilometres or 1000 miles within a year and a new challenge “Climb Everest” 8800 meters climb within a year. I have added the photo of the latest information and would welcome anyone else to join me on this quest.

I am tracking my details on a great app called Viewranger. It has great features including full OS maps for £19.00 per year. This will hopefully give me some encouragement and determination to #GoForIt.

Please follow me on Roy_Imeson.

The above is partway through the practice and possible at the highest part.

There are other apps and methods of recording routes and distances with the most popular being the Fitbit, again I am on that system and welcome followers or competitors. This is tracked through a watch and counts every step, including the ones around your office.

Please comment and tell me what system you use with your user name and I will follow you.
