Staycation

This summer Mrs I’ and I decided to take a break in the UK.

We went to Bristol.

We traveled up by the Mega bus and returned by train. We went to the theatre The Bristol Hippodrome and due to deal seeking, we stayed in two hotels. We ate out each night and I definitely drank many different Craft ales.

The reason behind this post is state what is possible not obvious to all.

What an amazing #inclusive experience.

My disabilities were respected, the theatre helped us out by looking after Teal whilst we watched both 42nd Street and Mousetrap. The staff were amazing!

Both hotels, helped one even let us choose our own room, the other was dog friendly.

The first Hotel, had many disabled rooms which are mainly for disabled wheelchair users who require low level beds and showers.

The second hotel was excellent. No need for a disabled room, there rooms are inclusive and if you require a room suitable for wheelchair users, you ask when booking. Plus, it is dog friendly! This helped Teal make friends and not get looked in way guide dogs do when in other Hotels.

A couple of days, whilst Mrs I’ went shopping I went for walks throughout the City and without any hiccups.

The locals, all let on, stepped to one side to let us pass and in one Boozer, in the St Paul’s area, one chap looked after me when I needed a hand.

Staying in the UK can be as good as a trip to overseas and without the hassles.
